Kapa Research delivers the Greek national component of major European and international statistical programmes, from household finance and financial literacy surveys to studies of social attitudes and value change. Our clients include the Bank of Greece, the OECD, the European Commission and Greece’s National Centre for Social Research, each of whom sets the methodology we follow, the quality thresholds we are measured against, and the comparability standards our results have to meet alongside twenty or more other countries collected in the same window.

Focus and Objectives

  • Household Finance and Wealth: We run the Greek component of the Eurosystem Household Finance and Consumption Survey for the Bank of Greece, measuring what households own, owe, earn and spend to a protocol set centrally by the European Central Bank.
  • Financial Literacy Measurement: We have delivered Greece’s national financial literacy survey twice, first for the OECD and again for the Hellenic Ministry of National Economy and Finance, producing the indicators that feed the country’s national financial literacy strategy.
  • Social Attitudes and Values: We deliver the Greek national fieldwork for the European Social Survey, Europe’s academically driven study of social attitudes and value change, now in its twelfth round.
  • Social Policy Evaluation: We design and field large-scale household surveys that test whether social policy is reaching the people it was built for, including the World Bank’s evaluation of Greece’s guaranteed minimum income programme.
